Scenic Wine Tasting

Explore the Douro Valley's scenic vistas, home of port wine! Visit with wine makers, taste their creations, and take in the views.

"Fairy Tale" Town

We journey to Obidos, a "fairy-tale town." This small, historic city offers cobblestone streets and a dreamy medieval castle.

Cooking Class

Our cooking class walks you through the process of preparing "Pastel de Nata," a famous egg custard tart.

Day Summary

Day 1
Welcome to Porto! After a big flight,  freshen up, explore the town and join us for our welcome dinner in the heart of the city!
Day 2
The Douro Valley is the home of port wine and cannot be missed! Considered to be one of the most beautiful European wine regions, we take the day to wind our way through the valley, visit wine makers, enjoy their creations, and take in the VIEWS.
In the evening, we eat dinner in Porto and prepare for the next day’s departure to Lisbon!
Day 3
Spend the morning taking a walk in Porto then head out on the road toward Lisbon!
During the drive, we make a stop in Nazare. A world renowned surfing town famous for its monster waves ridden by professional surfers from around the globe.

Next, we journey to Obidos! Referred to as a fairy-tale town, this small, historic city offers cobblestone streets and a dreamy medieval castle.

That night, we settle in at our accommodations in Lisbon and rest up for our big days ahead.
Day 4
Explore Lisbon! Stroll with us through the brightly colored streets as we explore the wonderful hills of the Alfama neighborhood, the famous Praca do Comercio, and Castelo de São Jorge.
That evening, grab some wine, take a stroll in the city and catch a sunset by the Tagus as the sun fades behind a familiar looking bridge, Ponte 25 de Abril.
Day 5
We head to the beautiful and oh so royal town of Sintra.
Previously serving as a sanctuary for royalty and the elite, Sintra is home to several historic villas and palaces. The most popular being Pena Palace. This palace hosts phenomenal landscapes of the land below and is a photographer’s dream with it’s rich, colorful facade.

After our royal visit, we stop in the coastal town of Cascais for lunch. Stroll the streets, put your feet in the sand, or just grab a coffee prior to departing back to Lisbon.
Day 6
This morning, take some free time in the city. Perhaps a visit to the Jerónimos Monastery and the tower of Belem?
Throughout the trip we will have enjoyed the famous Pastel de Nata. This afternoon, we learn how to cook them! Our cooking class walks you through the process of preparing this famous egg custard tart.

That evening, we say goodbye to Portugal with our farewell dinner.
Day 7
Sadly, it is time to go home. Flights may depart at any time of the day.
